Drag Racer

Drag Racer is an online racing game which allows you to customize and upgrade your cars and compete with other drivers.

You start by buying a car and then you customize it to your own taste, painting and changing the wheel rims and you can also add decals to further individualize your racer. Your object is then to win drag races and to earn points to buy better cars and progress in the drag racing world. There are a large number of cars to choose from, starting with fairly standard cars and progressing up to supercars.

Drag racing is not like conventional track racing, it happens on one straight track, varying in lengths from the classic 1/4 mile upwards. You will soon find your standard car cannot compete and that is where the most important feature of drag racing comes in, you must upgrade your car to compete. The engine, turbo, exhaust, body and tyres can be upgraded to increase the competitiveness of your car. The other crucial factor is your driving, you must try to make a perfect start and your gear changes must be timed to perfection and also injecting nitro at the right time.

The skill in Drag Racer is choosing the right car for the level you are on, upgrading it correctly to a high standard and then honing your driving skills on the drag strip. Drag racing doesn't appeal to all car racing gamers but this is ideal for those who do. If you haven't tried it give it a go, it's a free download so there's nothing to lose.
